Located in Los Angeles and established in 1928, Pacific States University (PSU) is organized as a 501 (c) (3) non-profit, public benefit corporation, chartered in the State of California.

Accreditation:
PSU is accredited by the Accrediting Council for Independent Colleges and Schools (ACICS) to award certificates, bachelor's, and master's degrees. ACICS is recognized by the United States Department of Education (USDOE) and is a member of the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA).

Approval:
PSU is approved by the Bureau for Private Postsecondary and Vocational Education (BPPVE), the State of California, to provide degree and non-degree programs.

Mission:
The mission of PSU's Distance Learning Program is an extension of the campus mission, as a multi-purpose school, to offer degrees will reflect the most current and professional trends. Both the classroom and online curriculum promote the (1) discovery and application of knowledge; (2) the acquisition of skills; and (3) the development of intellect and character.

Objective:
The PSU Distance Learning Program makes it possible for diverse groups of students around the world who are unable to attend regular class meetings on campus to reduce the barriers of distance and time by participating in an accredited and quality program. By so doing they can earn their desired degrees, save money, and avoid the hassle of international travel.
